Dear Reader

Count down to the end of the year and I'm trying not to think about it. How on earth does it go so quick. I'm still enjoying November though! A very watery feel to this newsletter, hope you enjoy it and I'd love your feedback either within my blog or email me.

With Love

Rumana's Reflections

HappyI was listening to a Radio 4 programme this week on happiness. Quite interesting. What do you think - can you just focus on the positives and avoid the negatives? I've often observed this and found that the negatives do offer something, even if we don't care to take notice of them. For instance in my Argentine dance lessons, I needed to see how not to do a move and what it looked like doing it badly before correcting myself and applying myself positively. I'd also have to manage my mind talk and thinking - I'm not good enough, I am appalling at dancing and that I would never dance well. I continued to practice and bring these 'negatives' along with me - I persevered - until they finally disappeared.

Sometimes we want to push out the negatives. They are things that need to be in our life to learn from but we become too immersed and 'become' them. We are not them, we are a sum of the whole. We need to remind ourselves that.

Happiness is it achieveable? Well, if you have a moment you can listen to the programme at the BBC website, click here.

What’s in the water?
All sorts of things! Just imagine human wastes...
