Naturally SpeakingNewsletter by Naturopath Rumana Zahn May 2007 Hello and Welcome! You are welcome to forward this newsletter to friends and colleagues. To receive it regularly simply register at the Rumana Health website. Dear Reader I tried to get the newsletter out last month but never managed it. Like many I had about a million and one things to do before going away on holiday. The good thing is that I now have much to share with you - the holiday, recent failures and the successes. The failures are a necessary part of life - who has ever ridden a bike without falling off? The important thing is to know how to pick yourself up and move on. So sit back and be inspired. With Love
Personal Reflections Rushing to get out the door one hour to go before leaving for my holiday, I stop in my tracks, the business project I was working on for weeks folds. I re-read the email. I'm gutted. I have no time to discuss or do anything to influence or change the decision. I feel frustrated. In business or in our personal life sometime things don't work out no matter how much time or energy we put into them. The disappointment, the frustrations, the energy and sweat, it all feels like it's been a waste of time. At times like this it feels like wish I wish I stayed in my comfort zone; at least I don't have to experience pain or disappointment. But I know this is not the answer otherwise I never would have changed anything in my life. Adversity offers us the potential to learn, to grow and understand more about ourselves and life. No matter how painful it might seem, if I reflect back I know that it was the hardest, the darkest times of my life that taught me so much. Not that I wish to go there again but it certainly has given me the motivation to know how I choose to live life now. I also know that when one door closes another one opens. I welcomed the experience of a very enjoyable holiday in Cuba; dancing salsa and diving in the Caribbean, really did help to heal and revitalise the soul. The contrast of being in a communist country where there is little prosperity but lots of music and dance was quite an extraordinary experience. One cannot but feel gratitude that humans are so adaptable and the prosperity and freedoms we have in the west are really taken for granted. So after a holiday and then the celebrations of a poignant birthday I am back at my desk and full steam ahead. I am currently working on another new project which is about to launch next month. I am so excited I am bursting to tell you but have to wait until the next month. So look out on the website and the next newsletter. Award for Excellence How Do You Create More Energy? Energy is our fuel; it is our get up and go. Have you noticed how energy is linked to your motivation? When we are full of energy we are bright and ready for action. When we lack energy we feel tired, become flat and listless and want to do less. Where does our energy go and how can we make more of it? Sam's Blog

There are so many good ones on the market but which one is the best to go for...? When you buy vitamins or mineral supplements do you know the difference between food state vitamin supplements compared to that of chemical supplements? Food state supplements are complete vitamin and minerals within a food complex which means that there are supporting substances present to help the nutrients absorb into the cells. This is not always the case with chemically derived supplements. For example take Vitamin C, when it is associated with bio-flavanoids the absorption of vitamin C is greatly increased. It is the absorption into your cells that matters, meaning you are getting the most out of your supplement. There are only a few companies that sell these types of vitamins. One I have come across is Cytoplan who base all their supplements on food state. Cytoplan Tel: 01684 310099 or visit the Cytoplan website (Some companies may provide discounts if you state referred by practitioner Rumana Zahn when purchasing). Ready to Take Time Out?
