Please ask them to register at the home page on Rumana Health Website Inspirational Story I love your stories and so do others. If you have something to share please write in. This one was written by Janet. Hi Rumana, just thought I would send a few words of thanks. I do enjoy receiving your emails keeping me up to date with what’s going on. It’s such an inspiration to know that women are "getting out there and doing it" and helping each other. As
you well know I have had my own problems to deal with over the
last years, and you all ways felt that most of my problems were
based round the fact that I disliked my job and had done so for
several years. You said that my body was sending me messages
that all was not well (hence the bladder problem etc) and one
of the things you said always sticks with me "how bad has it
got to get before you do something about it Janet" Thank You Janet. Life is full of wonderful unexplored experiences and your experiences are going to be new, exciting and no doubt challenging at times but I’m sure will be rewarding every step of the way. Good luck!
Are We Just like Our Parents? I recently attended an Iridology Symposium and what interesting new developments are happening there. I was fascinated by the work of one of the speakers, Dr Daniele Lo Rito, who talked about how we inherit patterns from our ancestors and any emotional patterns our parents were not able work through get passed onto the next generation. He was showing case studies of how life trauma’s can be detected in the iris. Most of us do not want to think that we’re like our parents but it’s not just physical genetics that they have passed on but you have more of your parent’s emotional genetic make up than perhaps you wish to believe...
Time to Retreat Yoga,
Walking and Detox Week in If you would like to come then don’t delay any longer, get in touch, places are booking up. It’s going to be an outstanding week, with much fun, energy, relaxation and health! I've posted up further information on the venue with pictures - more info Just How Much Fat Should We Be Eating? I think it is now common knowledge that we really have to be careful about how much fat we should be eating. But just like all the nutrition information around it is getting quite confusing as to how much and what we should or need to be doing. As I try to get the message across not only to my patients by also to the students I teach, I'm always on the lookout of good content and sources. I recently heard a very interesting and highly informative programme on Radio 4 about WHY we need to be eating certain fats and not others. I was so pleased to hear this programme and certainly about businesses acting at last to ban certain types of fats (trans fats) in foods. At last someone is doing something about quality (those of you who know me know that quality is something I cannot emphasise enough). If you get time you can download the programme and listen yourselves. How good is that! Which Remedy? There are so many good ones on the market but which one is the best to go for... Hormones – a woman’s friend or a women’s nightmare? I’m hoping you’re going to say friend. For natural hormonal balancers you need to be looking at Agnus Castus. You can go for Bioforce’s single herb tincture but if you’re looking at a blend that will also support liver function as well then look at Herbs of Grace’s Woman’s Friend or Herbs Hands Healing Agnus Castus and Raspberry Formula containing over 8 different herbs. Being in Flow Inspirational Life Coach, Aviva Baran shares her wisdom to keep us all engaged with our inner sparkle.
Broadly speaking, therapists may go back to the past and look at how circumstances have affected you and shaped your present situation. They then help you to process issues at an emotional level. Coaches on the other hand look at where you are at now, where you want to be and how can you get there. Therapists may help you cope with a traumatic event, unearth recurrent symptoms or patterns of ill health or ‘being stuck’, identify possible reasons for these and how to cope with day to day life. Life Coaches facilitate clients to find resolutions to problems, take responsibility for managing oneself through a process of change, to live a more fulfilled and balanced life, to learn from mistakes and to put ideas into action. As a Life Coach and Trainer with a background in Therapy, I offer an integrated approach. I’m happy to look back if necessary, but principally focus on the present and the future. If it appears that you are unable to move forward then I may recommend therapy. I will assist you to get clearer about your deepest intentions for your life and then help you to put those into practice. You would need to commit to changing patterns that do not work for you, and I have a broad set of tools that I may call upon to work creatively with you to ensure that you make a life for yourself that brings maximum fulfilment, growth, happiness and success. If you would like to see if Life Coaching can work for you, take advantage of the free initial consultation. You can contact Aviva via email viv@artslink.co.za

I was recently invited onto Matthew Davis's show on BBC Radio Cleveland. Interesting to meet a radio presenter who meditates daily and believes in good nutrition for health. He asked me to describe meditation to his listeners without sending them into a hypnotic state. This led me to reflect on how many of us are already in a hypnotic state day to day. We go from one activity to another sometimes in a daze not thinking at all just doing. Which is why realisations can be such light bulb moments. What was your last realisation and how did it make you feel? Did you subsequently change a part of your life that led you to where you are now? Keep well! With love April 2006
