Dear All

I like to spend my time with people who inspire me, in places that enchant me and things that open my mind. It makes life more enjoyable and fun for me.

I am going to enjoy the next few weeks even more as I am currently preparing for my holiday in April, so I'll be out of action for a couple of weeks. A welcoming break that's well overdue and I can honestly say I'm really looking forward to it.

I'd like to introduce Junnie who will be looking after things for me while I'm away. She's been busily catching up with the wealth of things going on here in the office. She has wonderful administrative skills as well as being a Herbal Practitioner, so if you need to get in touch in my absence please contact her.

Also please do take a look at the website as I have just launched some new monthly programmes and new pricing plans where you are able to spread payments out monthly. Visit the website for more details.

Lastly I really have to recommend this movie to you all. It's called Angel.A (or Angela). I'm not a movie buff but when I do watch them they have to be intellectually stimulating and/or emotionally moving (but not weepies). This film is about an angel who comes down (as a slut) to help this guy (loser) find himself. It's funny and moving, all at the same time!

Enjoy the spring blossoms.

With Love

Rumana

Personal Reflections

Sometimes certain events or situations happen in your life where you feel as though you have no control. What is your first reaction? Panic? The thoughts, feelings and emotions can be so overwhelming that suddenly all clarity goes out of the window. The Kairos Foundation call these Life Shocks. In my work I am constantly helping people to process life shocks as it's no surprise that onset of symptoms can also be due to emotions and lifestyle changes. You can have major life shocks like a bereavement, redundancy or divorce to much smaller ones like losing your car keys.

No one is exempt and I also have my own to deal with. Anytime I have to reach out of my comfort zone, the mind talk goes wild. And because I often choose to do things out of my comfort zone I do have to find a way of dealing with the anxiety it brings.

My recent experience was when my singing teacher asked me to stand up in front of the group to sing and I completely clamped up. I often have to get up and speak in front of audiences but singing - definitely no. Don't get me wrong I was there because I wanted to address this. From that time when she [my singing teacher] stood me outside the class and told me to sing alone to standing on stage and performing as we did recently, is, what I call progress.

When you're in the middle of a life shock it may seem too difficult to rationalise but use your inner strength, courage and insight and before you know it you would have turned it into something more positive than you may have ever imagined.

How to Create that Healthy Glow before a Big Event?

Getting through the pressure of what to wear, how you want to look at the same time as organising the event doesn't leave much time for you to work on that healthy glow you wish to exude.

One aspect of my work is to help people get healthy and look great before a major event. This has to be done on the inside and out. Therefore it is essential to start...

Sam's Blog

Hi this is Sam. I started my treatment with Rumana beginning of April 2006. She said I had an interesting way of putting the treatment into words and would I share my experiences with others! So here is my story, uncut! (PS I thinks she's brave letting me tell my story uncut but here it is).

Which Remedy?

There are so many good ones on the market but which one is the best to go for...

I was recently at the Natural Trade Show in Brighton and one product I came across was Bee Pollen. It has its own unique taste - somewhat powdery and slightly drying on the palate but light and flavoursome.

Bee pollen is highly nutritious rich in selenium, flavonoids, provitamin A and E, phytosterols and lactobacteria. It comes in 4 different flavours, Rock Rose, Chestnut, Heather and Willow and can easily be sprinkled onto your breakfast or taken directly from the spoon as a nutritional boost. The fresh, frozen vacuum packed varieties tend to hold more nutritional properties rather than the dried or tablet form.

Pollen also has many healing properties helping not only the immune system but also the digestion. To read more Percie du Sert writes about it in his book "The Healing Powers of Pollen".

You'll be able to get Bee pollen from the Nutri Centre or Kiki Health.
